MOMENTS

There are moments too brief 

to last eternally

and everything flees

fading through time,

becoming only a halo,

a ghost

that leaves forever

this word.

There are moments too eternal

to last briefly

and everything 

becomes part of the present,

remaining a halo

that persists in not fading away,

a ghost

that cannot find eternal peace.
